There are people in the world that are so consumed with trying

to do what is right that they become neurotic.

They look at themselves TOO closely; they are the opposites of

those afflicted with Mere Psychosis.

They become so consumed with not sinning, that this becomes more

important to them than the salvation.

History is replete with people living in holes dug out of the ground

because they felt it was all they deserved; self-imposed, psychologically-

induced stigmata; self-castration; self-flagellation....

Hellfire is the only thing that matters:  staying out of it...

So consumed are they that they forget the Blessed Assurance.

Chrit has conquered sin, hell, death, and the grave.

We should concentrate on living in, for, and like Him--and not

running for our lives...

Mere neurosis:  it's time to start listening to that still, small voice...
