Mere Humanity

MERE ANTHROPOLOGY

Have you ever met someone who professed to be a Christian--

but use profanity?

How about dress immodestly?

Ever seen a child smoking?

These are examples of unseemly behavior and deportment.

It makes us feel bad inside, because the Holy Spirit is testifying

against it.

We KNOW what we see, and hear, on television:  we also know

that most of it should not be there.

Many of the ideas we get to do things that are bad are told to us

through the media, magazines, etc.

And the bottom line is:  we must let our spirit rage against the machine.

We must allow ourselves to be righteously angry; we must not allow

ourselves to accept unseemliness--or characterize it ourselves.

It will erode us from the inside--and then on the outside--if we accept

and mimic the world.

The Bible speaks of us as "peculiar people;" peculiar to the ways of the

world.  No one is perfect, but we must try.

And most of the areas of "unseemliness" we can eliminate TODAY.

DO IT.

Mere seemliness:  it's time to start listening to that still, small voice...
